04.11No More Exploding Batteries
No more recalled batteries, no more horrific exploding battery incidents. All thanks to those scientists that make everything in life a little more simple. The problem with batteries used in today’s peripherals is that they are made with lithium-ion, a rechargeable material that eliminates the need to buy AAs. The lithium-ion is also made of a liquid goo which can leak when punctured. The new batteries are made of a new non-flammable solid polymer. Two conquered problems, but one downside. You’ll have to wait 3-5 years until those scientists figure out how to make the polymer to hold a longer charge.
