What happens when the Apple store goes down? New product comes up! Hurray! If you hadn’t guessed by now it’s this new software by Apple, Final Cut Server. What is it? Glad you asked, it is described as “Final Cut Server helps any production workgroup — from a two-person boutique to a global news operation — work smoothly and efficiently. It offers media asset management and workflow automation software that streamlines production work through,” on the Apple store site.
System Requirements:
Server Minimum Requirements:
- Mac computer with a 1.8GHz or faster PowerPC G5, Intel Core Duo, Intel Core 2 Duo, or Intel Xeon processor
- 2GB of RAM
- AGP or PCI Express Quartz Extreme graphics card (Final Cut Server is not compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors)
- CD drive for installation
- 500MB of disk space
- Mac OS X v10.5 or later
- QuickTime 7.4.1 or later
Client Minimum Requirements:
- Mac computer with a 1.25GHz or faster PowerPC G4 or G5, Intel Core Duo, Intel Core 2 Duo, or Intel Xeon processor; Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later
- PC with Windows XP (SP2) or Windows Vista
- 1GB of RAM
- AGP or PCI Express Quartz Extreme graphics card (Final Cut Server is not compatible with integrated Intel graphics processors)
- Display with 1024-by-768 resolution or higher
- 20MB of available disk space (after installation)
- Mac OS X v10.4.11 or later
- QuickTime 7.4.1 or later
- Final Cut Pro 6.0.2 or later for Final Cut Pro integration (Mac)
