Praise ZiPhone! They were able to find code in the new beta 2.0 iPhone firmware that seemed to be for the Infineon S-GOLD3H. This chip is the predecessor to the company’s S-GOLD2 chip currently used in the iPhone. The new chip has support for a 5 megapixel camera, instead of the current 2 mp camera. The processor speed is no different than the current chip’s and some of these features might not even be used, so don’t keep your hopes up. Let’s just wait for the 3G iPhone so we can see what features are implemented.
